Learn techniques to create appealing artistic nude / beauty photography

Create stunning pictures during one of our Artistic Nude or Beauty photography workshops. Participants of Pascal Baetens' workshops can look forward to an intense and inspiring photographic experience! During the workshops, you will be gently guided to develop your own photographic concept. With daily feedback, demonstrations and expert tips from Pascal Baetens and his team, you will learn to fine tune your ideas and techniques so that you can go back home with a unique and strong collection of images.

Apart from Pascal's direct feedback and demonstrations, you'll always be photographing at amazing locations. The Salve Mater building (Pascal's home and Studio), for instance, is an early 20th century abandoned hospital/monastery with more than 100 rooms and a large chapel and surrounded by more than 10 hectare of scenic gardens. When the workshop takes place at a different location, the scenery will be equally amazing to provide you with plenty opportunities for great shots!

An enthusiastic team of gorgeous models will be standing by to realise your ideas with you. We're looking forward to see you at one of our workshops, a place where a number of strangers meet for the first time, and at the end of the workshop go home as friends.

The Workshops

The following Artistic Nude or Beauty workshops are available:
* Monday 7 – Friday 11 May 2012: 5 days (Adrano, Sicily, Italy) Includes lodging and meals for 5 nights
* Monday 9 – Friday 13 July 2012: 5 days (Arles, France)
* Monday 11 – Friday 15 August 2012: 5 days (Salve Mater)

Location: Unless stated otherwise, all workshops take place at Salve Mater (Lovenjoel, Belgium).

You will learn
- Camera & lighting technique
- Use of composition, lenses, perspective,
  light, perspective, etc. to enhance
  the atmosphere of the image
- Communicating your concept to the model,
  communication skills,
  working as a team
- Working with (nude) models
- Photographing in different lighting situations
  and light conditions
- Creating pleasing artistic nude / beauty photography

What to bring
Required
- Your (Nikon) DSLR Camera
- Lenses (wide to tele)
- Fully charged Battery (+ spare)
- Memory Cards
- Laptop or other external storage facility
- Ideas, what makes you tick in photography, what would you like to make as images?
- Your sunny mood, a bit of patience and lots of inspiration!

- If you choose to lodge at the Salve Mater building, bring your camping gear; e.g., sheets, blankets, towels, (inflatable) mattress, etc.
What is provided
- At least 3 different models will be present each day. Most of them will stay for more than 1 day, some for the entire period. A strict code of conduct towards the models will have to be respected!
- Expert (nude) photography teaching from Pascal Baetens
- Salve Mater Location:
  - Lodging: in Spartan conditions (gracefully offered) at Salve Mater, or at own convenience (and organisation) in the neighbourhood.
    Note: Salve Mater has 1 shower for the entire group, 1 sink with hot water, several sinks with cold water (as we said: Spartan…).
  - Food & Drinks (not included in the price): basic breakfast and lunch at Salve Mater, dinner outside, drinks and sweets available.
    If you have special dietary requests (vegetarians, special diets, …), let us know. Please also let us know if you have any health issues we may have to take into account.
Venue Information

During this five day workshop, you will be given the chance to create a unique collection of images in an exclusive location, a former psychiatric hospital with more than 100 rooms and a large scenic garden. With expert tips from Pascal Baetens and his team, you will master techniques to create appealing, artistic nudes.
